Installing the Microsoft Teams Integration

The Conveyor Teams app is only configured to send notifications in personal 1:1 chats. It will not work in group chats.

Prerequisites

  • Obtain a .zip of the Conveyor Teams Bot from [email protected] or your CSM.
  • Access to a Conveyor Admin account.
  • Access to Microsoft Teams Admin account

Installation

Installation in Conveyor

  1. Navigate to Integrations in Conveyor
  2. Click “Add Integration”
  3. Choose “Microsoft Teams”

You must select a channel when connecting to your Microsoft Teams in the next step, to authenticate with Teams. Notifications will be sent out as private messages on Teams to users, not to the selected channel.

  1. Name and authenticate the integration.
  1. Once you've authenticated your integration, you'll see it in the list of your integrations.

Installation in Teams

Open Teams and navigate to Apps->Manage your Apps

  1. Choose “Manage your apps”, then "Upload an app" and then "Upload a customised app"
  1. Select the Conveyor.zip that was provided by the Conveyor Support Team
  2. You should receive an “Added successfully!” notification and you can click “Open”

You should see a welcome message.

The bot is automatically configured to respond to the messages "hello", "hi" and "help".

For each user: tune which notifications you want from Teams in your User Notifications page

Now when important actions happen in Conveyor, you will get notified! Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or feedback.
