Document-Specific NDA
Document-specific NDAs allow you to require custom non-disclosure agreements for individual documents in your trust center. This feature provides an additional layer of legal protection beyond your existing trust-center-wide NDA, enabling granular control over access to highly sensitive documents.
When document-specific NDAs are enabled for a file, visitors must:
- Review and accept a custom NDA each time they download o the document
- Re-accept the NDA for every subsequent viewing session
Note that this does not bypass the global trust center NDA. Users must first sign that (or get bypassed) before accessing this additional NDA
Setting Up Document-Specific NDAs
- Go to your documents tab on the left pane.
- Select the document and click Edit on the document you want to add the additional NDA
- After enabling the Trust center Audience, click "Require an additional NDA" on the Additional Options section. Note that if the document is public, this option is not available. We need authenticated users to keep the signed record.
- Enter your custom NDA text in the provided editor

Once this is set up. Every customer accessing the document will see the Custom NDA popup.
Viewing Document-Specific NDA Signatures
All document-specific NDA signatures are automatically tracked and recorded. To view this data:
- Navigate to your document and click "Activity & Versions"
- In the interactions table, view the "NDA" column (located at the far right)
- This column shows NDA acceptance status for each document view
Each time a user signs the additional NDA before viewing the document, the signature is logged with timestamp and user details for compliance tracking.
