Curated Question & Answers
Time to complete: 5 minutes to understand
Prerequisites: None—this is an overview of Curated Q&As capabilities
Overview
Curated Question-Answer Pairs (Q&As) are your maintained library of frequently asked questions with authoritative answers. They serve as trusted sources that ConveyorAI prioritizes when generating responses to questionnaires and customer inquiries. Unlike Past Answers which accumulate automatically, Curated Q&As support active maintenance through curator assignments, verification periods, and controlled access levels. You can also share them directly with customers via your Trust Center for self-service.
What makes Curated Q&As different
Your Knowledge Library contains two types of Q&As:
-
Curated Q&As (this section): Manually created and maintained with support for curator assignments, verification reminders, and Trust Center sharing. Ideal for your 200-400 most frequently asked questions with full maintenance features like archiving and access control.
-
Past Answers: Automatically captured from questionnaire work and self-updating as you edit responses. No manual maintenance required and best for less frequent or one-time questions.
Key features of Curated Q&As
Navigate to Knowledge Base → Curated Q&As to access and manage your maintained question library.

The Knowledge Base tab provides access to your Curated Q&As with full management capabilities
-
Adding Q&As: Create individual questions or bulk import via CSV/Excel. Use the Polish feature to convert raw notes into polished prose, and attach reference documents for additional context.
-
Q&A curators: Assign team members to maintain specific Q&As and set verification periods (quarterly, annually, etc.). Curators receive automatic reminders when verification periods expire.
-
Q&A access levels: Control visibility with internal only (ConveyorAI use), public (all Trust Center visitors), some approved customers (specific access groups), or gated with NDA (requires signature).
-
Archiving Q&As: Remove outdated Q&As from active use while preserving them for historical reference. Archived Q&As aren't used by ConveyorAI but can be restored if needed.
Best practices for Curated Q&As
Maintain 200-400 Q&As, not thousands. This focused approach keeps maintenance manageable while covering your most common questions. Let Past Answers handle less frequent inquiries—they require no manual upkeep.
Assign curators to all Q&As. Even if one person manages most content initially, curator assignments create accountability and ensure nothing falls through the cracks during team transitions.
Set appropriate verification periods. Use quarterly reviews for rapidly evolving topics (product features, compliance requirements) and annual reviews for stable information (company history, certifications).
Use product lines strategically. Only tag Q&As with product lines when answers genuinely differ between products. Leave general company information untagged so it's available for all products.
Start with internal-only access. Create Q&As for ConveyorAI first, then selectively share the most polished, customer-friendly answers in your Trust Center. Not every Q&A needs to be customer-facing.
Common questions
Should I create separate Q&As for similar questions worded differently?
No. ConveyorAI recognizes different phrasings of the same question. One well-written Q&A can handle multiple variations like "Where is data stored?" and "What's your data hosting location?"
What happens if I have both a Curated Q&A and a Past Answer for the same question?
ConveyorAI prioritizes Curated Q&As as authoritative sources. If both exist, the Curated Q&A will be used unless it's significantly less relevant to the specific question being asked.
Can I convert a Past Answer to a Curated Q&A?
Yes. If a Past Answer proves valuable and you want more control over it (curator assignment, verification periods, Trust Center sharing), you can promote it to a Curated Q&A.
How do I know which Q&As need verification?
Navigate to Knowledge Base and click "Filter" → "Needs Verification" to see all Q&As that have reached their verification deadline. Curators also receive automatic email reminders.
