Drafting Changes to your Trust Center
Time to complete: 5–10 minutes Prerequisites: Access to make edits to your Trust Center.
Overview
You can make design and layout changes to your Trust Center in a draft — so you can experiment, preview exactly what visitors would see, and only publish when you're confident, without affecting the live experience.
You can work in a draft whether or not your Trust Center is live yet:
- If your Trust Center is already published, your draft is created from its current state. Edits autosave to the draft, and visitors keep seeing your published Trust Center until you publish your changes.
- If you're building your Trust Center for the first time, you start from an empty Trust Center and can draft everything before you go live.
Drafts cover the design and layout of your Trust Center. Content like documents, Q&A, and announcements is managed live in the Knowledge management section — see What's in your draft vs. what's live below.
What's in Your Draft vs. What's Live
In your draft
These changes stay in your draft and only reach visitors when you publish:
- Layout — reorganizing and reordering sections
- Section visibility — showing or hiding sections
- Colors and fonts
- Logo, banner, and cover images
- Localization — turning on new languages
- Public view type — switching between the modern landing page and the simple form
Edited live
Everything in the Knowledge management section is still managed live, exactly as before. These changes apply immediately:
- Page content and text
- Announcements and alerts
- Adding and publishing documents
- Q&A content and visibility
This keeps your knowledge content as a single source of truth across your Trust Center and questionnaire automation.
Announcements are published live, but you can schedule them in advance. A scheduled announcement appears as a preview to admins and can be edited up until its publish date.
Create and Edit a Draft
Open the Designer to start making changes. Your edits autosave to a draft automatically — the top bar shows Draft autosaved with a timestamp, and the right panel includes a Draft / Published toggle so you can switch between the two states. If your Trust Center is already live, the draft starts from its current state; if you're building it for the first time, you start from an empty Trust Center.
In your draft you can:
- Reorganize and reorder sections in the Section Layout panel
- Change section visibility
- Update colors and fonts
- Swap your logo, banner, or cover images
- Turn on new languages under Localization
- Switch your public view type between the modern landing page and the simple form
Preview Your Draft
Use the Preview as menu in the top bar to see exactly what visitors would experience if you published right now. As before, you can preview as different visitor types to check what each audience sees.
Share a Preview Link
You can also share a preview link with members of your organization so they can review your draft before it goes live — no Conveyor login required. In the Draft panel, copy the link next to Share Preview and send it to your colleagues. This makes it easy to get sign-off on changes internally.
Track Changes with the Change Log
As you edit, Conveyor builds a Change Log for your draft that tracks what changed, who made the change, and the draft details. You'll find it in the Draft panel, where it summarizes your edits (for example, "5 Layout Changes"). When you publish, you can add notes describing what you changed — useful for keeping an internal record of each update.
Publish Your Draft
When you're ready, click Publish Draft in the top bar to push your changes to your live Trust Center. Publishing is a deliberate action — your changes don't reach visitors until you publish.
- Review your changes in the Change Log.
- Add publish notes describing what you changed (optional).
- Click Publish Draft.
Common Questions
Q: What happens to my changes before I publish? A: Your edits autosave to your draft. Visitors continue to see your published Trust Center until you publish.
Q: Can I make changes to documents, Q&A, or announcements in a draft? A: No. Content in the Knowledge management section — including documents and Q&A — is edited live and applies immediately. Drafts cover design and layout only. Announcements are also published live, but you can schedule them in advance and edit them up until their publish date.
Q: How many drafts can I have? A: One draft at a time across your entire Trust Center.
Q: Can others review my draft without a Conveyor account? A: Yes. Copy the Share Preview link in the Draft panel and send it to members of your organization to let them review your draft.
Q: What happens if I discard my draft? A: Discarding clears the draft, and it can't be retrieved afterward. Your published Trust Center is unaffected.
